Pencil is a type of writing tool that we need during our student days and even in the workplace. How are the pencils we usually use made?

The first step is to use a cutting tool to cut two small wooden strips and make a relatively shallow dent on one side of the strip. The wooden strip does not actually need to be too thin, as it will need to be polished in the subsequent steps.

The second step is to apply strong adhesive to the dented side of the wooden strip, then place the graphite pen core in the dents and merge the two wooden boards. After that, let it sit for one hour and wait for the adhesive to dry thoroughly.

Step 3: Cut the wooden board thin again, and then polish it into hexagonal wooden strips.

Step 4: Apply varnish to seal and enhance the gloss of the polished wooden strip, and then apply white paint to decorate the other end of the strip.

Finally, use a pencil to plane the other end of the wooden strip open, and a wooden pencil is thus completed. Although this process may differ from the production methods in the factory, the basic production methods are actually similar.
